MANILA, Philippines — To start a worldwide aid campaign, the official website of Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (Church of Christ) outreach project “Kabayan Ko, Kapatid Ko” was launched on Monday at the Manila Ballroom of the Manila Hotel on Bonifacio Drive, One Rizal Park.

The website www.kabayankokapatidko.org was unveiled to “formally introduce to the world the outreach project’s mission, vision and activities.”

In his opening message, Bro. Bienvenido Santiago said the project, involving all members of the INC led by the Executive Minister Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, would “extend aid not only to our countrymen here in the Philippines but also in other parts of the world.”

This mission primarily aims to extend outreach services like relief and health-care missions where INC members can express love and compassion to their countrymen in need. The group believes that “true love, after all, is best shown in action.”

The latest activity featured in the INC website was the group’s relief operation and medical mission last week in Ormoc City. Despite heavy rains, thousands of typhoon-affected residents lined up to get free bottled water and food supplies. Medical checkups and medicines were also provided free for the people of Ormoc.

The INC eventually would like to extend its helping arm to other countries in the world needing help though the “Kabayan Ko, Kapatid Ko” project.
