De Lima confirms arrest of Amalilio in Malaysia

MANILA, Philippines–Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on Wednesday confirmed that Malaysian authorities have already arrested Manuel Amalilio, founder of Aman Futures Group involved with the multi-billion pyramiding scheme.

“The Philippine embassy is already coordinating with the Malaysian police for his immediate deportation,” De Lima said adding that the copy of the warrant of arrest from the Pagadian Court is with the Malaysian police.

She said the National Bureau of Investigation is already working to secure Amalilio’s custody.

“He will be deported. He is a Filipino Citizen,” she said.
