Filipina holds new Guinness world record for largest puzzle collection
TAGAYTAY CITY, Philippines—Filipina Gina Gil Lacuna is the world record title holder for the largest jigsaw puzzle collection.
Guinness World Records representative Seyda Subasi Gemici awarded the recognition to Lacuna on Thursday.
Lacuna, 61, a retired businesswoman from Manila, has 1,030 jigsaw puzzles of various sizes and forms in her collection, which is housed in her family’s bed and breakfast, The Puzzle Mansion, in Barangay Asisan here.
Her collection includes mural-sized puzzles as well as smaller pieces, some of them in 3D and 4D forms.
Lacuna beat former title holder Luiza Figuereido of Brazil who owns 238 puzzles.
Lacuna, who has spent three to four hours a day the last 26 years assembling puzzles, plans to donate some of her works to cancer patients.
