Expect education standards to rise in the ARMM.
The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has a new teachers training center, which the Department of Education (DepEd) considers key to improving educational standards in the region.
The Regional Education Center in Cotabato City was donated by the DepEd to the ARMM days after the Australian government gave the region an A$85-million grant for basic education improvement.
The transfer of the training center was finalized in an agreement signed聽 by DepEd Region XII Director Rosa Gutierrez and the ARMM鈥檚 DepEd Secretary Jamar Kulayan.
Education Secretary Armin Luistro said the training center would be a venue for ARMM teachers and school administrators to 鈥渆nhance their capabilities.鈥�
