Brit arrested for making a scene at hotel lobby
MANILA, Philippines—A 60-year-old British subject who claimed he was “exhausted’’ was arrested for alarm and scandal for causing a scene at the lobby of the Manila Hotel Wednesday morning, police say.
Senior Police Officer 2 James Poso of the Manila Police District General Assignment Section identified the foreigner as David Pittman.
Poso said the hotel security sought police assistance when Pittman shouted and cursed other guests of the hotel at around 6 o’clock in the morning.
The policeman said Pittman took off his clothes while inside the detention cell and doused water on policemen escorting him to a toilet.
Poso said Pittman said he was “exhausted’’ when asked why he made a scene at hotel lobby.
He said Pittman made a scene after his companions left him at the hotel and asked him to pay for their bill.
