MANILA, Philippines鈥擳wenty-seven overstaying Filipinos in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia arrived Wednesday in Manila, the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration shouldered the repatriation costs of the Filipinos鈥�19 females and eight children, the DFA, quoting a report of OWWA Administrator Carmelita S. Dimzon, said.
The DFA said that more workers from the Middle East are expected to arrive in the coming days.
Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz has ordered the immediate and accelerated repatriation of the Filipinos who overstayed their visas in Saudi Arabia.
