ZEBULON, United States 鈥� Donald Trump boasted on Wednesday of almost-daily conversations with Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that he has a very good relationship with the Israeli prime minister.
Trump has previously cast himself as Israel鈥檚 鈥減rotector鈥� and said Netanyahu鈥檚 government must 鈥渇inish the problem鈥� in its war against Hamas.
鈥淏ibi called me yesterday, called me the day before,鈥� said the Republican candidate, using Netanyahu鈥檚 nickname.

鈥淲e have a very good relationship,鈥� Trump said at a campaign rally in the US state of Georgia, adding: 鈥淲e鈥檙e going to work with them very closely.鈥�
Trump had already reported a telephone conversation with Netanyahu on Saturday, claiming that the Israeli leader 鈥渨ants my view on things.鈥�

During his visit to the US Congress at the end of July, Netanyahu paid a vibrant tribute to Trump, thanking him for everything he has done for Israel.
