BI bars Australian-American sex offender from entering PH
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Wednesday said it has barred another foreign national from entering the country at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) due to pending sex offenses.
Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco identified the suspect as Australian-American Robert David Fenton, 54 years old, who arrived at Naia Terminal 1 on April 14 from Brisbane, Australia.
Fenton was then deported back to the US on Tuesday, April 23.

“We are determined to ban the entry of these unwanted aliens as their presence here poses a serious risk to our women and children,” Tansingco said in a statement.
According to Tansingco, Fenton was intercepted by immigration officers upon learning that he had a red notice in the Interpol for sex crimes in the US.
Article continues after this advertisementBI-Interpol unit acting chief Jaime Bustamante said Fenton is facing charges of aggravated indecent assault against a victim who is below 16 years of age.

He is also facing charges of corruption of minors and indecent assault, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, and statutory sexual assault against a person less than 16 years of age.
Upon being apprehended, the BI immediately issued an exclusion order against Fenton and placed him on the immigration blacklist.
