SUBIC BAY FREEPORT, Philippines  — A passenger cruise ship made port here on Monday (March 25) as part of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority’s (SBMA) ongoing effort to welcome international tourists.

The MV Serenade of the Seas, sailing under the flag of the Bahamas and operated by Royal Caribbean International, docked at the Leyte Pier with about 2,500 passengers.

The passengers were welcomed by local well-wishers and were treated to performances by students from Gordon Heights High School and the Beat Bataeños Drum Beaters.

The tourism department of the SBMA assured that the passengers of the cruise ship will have a “convenient, hassle-free, and safe time” while relaxing and enjoying Subic Bay destinations.

The tourists will also visit other tourist spots in nearby areas.
