The Bureau of Immigration has filed criminal charges against two of its jail guards in connection with the escape on Christmas Eve of a South Korean detainee wanted for cheating in a casino in his country.

Immigration Commissioner Ricardo David Jr. said charges of infidelity in the custody of a prisoner had been filed before the Taguig City prosecutor’s office against jail guards Eduardo Dulay and Noel Acedillo.

David placed Dulay, a regular employee, under preventive suspension for 90 days and terminated Acedillo’s services as a BI confidential agent.
