Japan 鈥榬eady鈥� to give aid to PH amid Paeng devastation
MANILA, Philippines — Japan expressed readiness to provide aid to the Philippines which was battered by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng.
Japan Foreign Affairs Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa extended his “heartfelt” sympathy to the Philippines.
“The Government of Japan stands with the government of the Philippines and its people, and is ready to provide the maximum possible assistance to the Philippines.
“My deepest condolences are with the victims and the bereaved, and I sincerely pray for the speedy recovery of the affected people as well as the prompt restoration on the affected areas,” Yoshimasa told Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo in a message on Monday.
