PH, US to continue cooperation on building resilient supply chains, addressing climate crisis

The Philippines on Friday protested China’s recent actions in Ayungin Shoal in the West Philippine Sea, including “illegal fishing” and the “shadowing” of Philippine boats by Chinese Coast Guard vessels.

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines and the United States will continue their cooperation in setting up resilient supply chains and addressing the climate crisis.

Department of Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo said this agreement was reached after his discussion with his United States (US) counterpart, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on bilateral matters.

“Spoke [with Secretary Blinken]. Appreciate US commitment to alliance and to PH as equal and sovereign partner in promoting peace, prosperity & international law-based order in the region,” Manalo posted on social media site Twitter on Sunday.
