181 Filipinos repatriated from Indonesia – DFA

MANILA, Philippines — Some 181 overseas Filipinos from Indonesia have returned to the Philippines as the world reels from the coronavirus pandemic, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

According to the DFA, the chartered flight carrying the repatriated Filipinos arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at around 4 p.m on Wednesday.

All the Filipino repatriates then underwent the appropriate medical protocols upon arrival as required by the Department of Health, the DFA said.

“They would also be required to undergo quarantine procedures in accordance with the omnibus guidelines established by the Interagency Task Force,” it added.

Latest data from the DFA showed that a total of 5,430 overseas Filipinos have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Of the number, 2,702 Filipinos are still undergoing treatment while 2,346 have recovered or been discharged from the hospital. There are 382 fatalities reported so far.
