Thirty Filipinos were repatriated on Thursday from Haiti, which has been experiencing economic and security instability in the past months.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said the Filipinos, composed of 21 adults and nine minors, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in two batches—17 via Philippine Airlines and 13 via Asiana Airlines.

The Philippine Embassy in the United States, which has jurisdiction over Haiti, sent deputy chief of mission Renato Pedro Villa and assistance-to-nationals officer Ryan Dasal to assist in the repatriation. —JEROME ANING
