POEA: 50 nurses, 300 caregivers needed for Japan deployment

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) is now accepting applications for 50 nurses and 300 caregivers for deployment to Japan.
Applicants have until April 30 to submit their applications, according to a POEA advisory issued on Monday.
The nurses and caregivers will be deployed under the Philippines-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement’s Framework for the Movement of Natural Persons.
To qualify, nurses should be a nursing graduate with a license to practice from the Professional Regulatory Board and have at least three years of hospital experience. They should also be willing to study to obtain a national license in Japan.
Applicant caregivers should be graduates of any four-year course and have an NC II caregiver certificate issued by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Article continues after this advertisementThose opting to become nurses in Japan will undergo on-the-job training and will have to pass the licensure exam for nurses there.
Caregivers, on the other hand, should first work for at least three years before they can take the exam that will allow them to work in Japan indefinitely. /atm
