LOOK: Sri Lankan leader visits Camp Crame

MANILA, Philippines — Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena visited the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Saturday morning.

Sirisena attended a briefing presentation and closed-door meeting regarding the Philippine’s anti-drug campaign.

Delegates from Sri Lanka and officers of the PNP were also present during the briefing.

After the briefing, the Sri Lankan leader viewed an exhibit on the Philippine’s anti- drug campaign.

PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde and Interior Secretary Eduardo Año were also present to accompany Sirisena in the activities.

Sirisena’s state visit began on Jan. 15, wherein he had private meetings with President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang.

Sirisena and Duterte also led the signing of five agreements between the governments of Sri Lanka and the Philippines.

The agreements covered matters on defense and military education and training, agriculture, education and tourism.
