DFA: Filipino tourist hurt in bus accident in Thailand

MANILA, Philippines — A Filipino tourist was hurt in a bus accident in Thailand, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported on Thursday.

DFA said the victim and 22 other Filipinos was aboard a bus that skidded off a highway in Chumphon in Southern Thailand last Monday.

Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Mary Jo Bernardo-Aragon reported to the DFA that the injured Filipino sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital after receiving medical treatment.

DFA, however, did not reveal the name of the victim.

Meanwhile, Aragon said all 23 Filipinos had resumed their journey to Phuket. /ee
