At least 40 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) working as truck drivers in Germany and Poland were rescued from “poor working and living conditions,” the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Friday.

The DFA said in a statement that the rescued OFWs were truck drivers who were recruited in the Philippines. They have already been provided with food and shelter.
