The country鈥檚 flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Wednesday advised its passengers that some of its flights to and from Japan have been canceled due to the closure of Osaka鈥檚 Kansai International Airport.
PAL said the closure of Kansai had been extended until Thursday, while it would have limited operation on Friday.
The Osaka Kansai International Airport was closed after the onslaught of Typhoon 鈥淛ebi鈥� early September聽when one of its runways was flooded.
The following PAL flights have been canceled:
September 13 (Thursday)
PR 896 Manila 鈥� Osaka (Kansai)
PR 897 Osaka (Kansai) 鈥� Manila
PR 410 Cebu 鈥� Osaka (Kansai)
PR 409 Osaka (Kansai) 鈥� Cebu
PR408聽 Manila 鈥� Osaka (Kansai)
September 14 (Friday)
PR 407 Osaka (Kansai) 鈥� Manila
PR 408 Manila 鈥� Osaka (Kansai)
Affected passengers have the option to either rebook their flights within the next days or reroute their flights to other airports in Japan, PAL said.
鈥淧AL will endeavor to rebook affected passengers on the next available regular flights or replacement flights, if any,鈥� it said in an advisory. /cbb
