Pimentel dares US to prove Duterte a threat to democracy

Former Senate President Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr. told the US intelligence community to provide proof regarding its report stating that President Rodrigo Duterte was a threat to democracy.
Pimentel on Sunday said that not because the report was released by the United States of America, the report was already true.
“Dapat ipalitaw nila ang kanilang pruweba. Huwag naman basta sinabi ng Amerikano ay totoo na yan,” Pimentel said in an interview with dzMM.
“Kahit sino pa magsabi niya – Instik, Americano, Hapon, o kung sino diyan – they must produce a proof para mapaniwalaan ng tao,” he added.
According to the Worldwide Threat Assessment of the US intelligence community, Duterte was listed as one of the threats to democracy due to his “signature campaign against drugs, corruption, and crime.”
