2 suspects ordered arrested for Japanese slay
A Parañaque City court has ordered the arrest of two people for the 2014 murder of a Japanese national.
Parañaque RTC Branch 274 Judge Fortunito Madrona issued the warrant of arrest against Edna Falcatan Ogura and Jovanni Darama. Ogura is the alleged mastermind while Darama was part of the group that killed Hiroshi Iwasaki.

The warrant of arrest was issued a week after the Office of the City Prosecutor of Parañaque filed murder cases against Ogura and Darama.
The five-page resolution signed by Deputy City Prosecutor Napoleon Ramolete cited “uncontroverted circumstances” in finding probable cause to indict the respondents.
Ramolete gave credence to Darama’s extrajudicial confession and the testimonies of other witnesses implicating Ogura in the murder.
But he cleared Ogura’s husband Yoshikazu Ogura, citing “there was no allegation to the effect that he either participated or got involved or connived with the other respondents in the perpetration and commission of the crime of murder.”
