NEW YORK CITY – Original works of juror-selected, Manila-born artist Victoria Estacio Huckins will be shown in The Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition by Chelsea’s Agora Gallery.

Victoria Estacio Huckins creates intriguing mixed-media works that span styles, techniques and artistic epochs. Huckins constructs her abstract paintings by layering fields of texture over one another. Spindly grids butt up against wild, free form loops of color.

Some compositions contain wide, breathable stretches of empty space to allow the eye to rest. Huckins’ chosen medium of acrylic paint allows for utmost precision in her lines, while her addition of mixed-media elements creates a juxtaposing unpredictability.
