Fil-Canadian youth missing after attending music festival

MISSING. Ephraigm Flores, 23, of Toronto has been missing since the Christmas weekend.

SAN FRANCISCO—A young Filipino Canadian from Toronto went missing after attending the Contact Winter Music Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia on the weekend of December 25-26.

Ephraigm Flores, 23, was last seen returning from the electronic music event late at night December 26, in Richmond.

Flores was seen in the area of Garden City Road and Granville Avenue, around 11:15 p.m., according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Flores is described as a Filipino male, 5-8 tall, weighing around 190 lbs. He has short black hair, brown eyes and an athletic build.

It is unusual for Flores to lose contact with family and friends, according to the RCMP, and that his loved ones are very concerned for his safety.

Five days after Flores’ disappearance, police and firefighters were seen at pond in the 9200-block of Granville, but authorities wouldn’t confirm whether the incident is related to the case.

The RCMP asks anyone with information on Flores’ whereabouts to contact them immediately.
