TEANECK, New Jersey鈥� A northern hopes a new program will expand its outreach to the Filipino听community.
The Record newspaper reports ( ) in Teaneck marked the launch of its Filipino medical program with a ceremony听Wednesday, December 2.
, the medical center鈥檚 vice president for Asian health services, introduced some of the 20 physicians of Philippine ancestry on staff during the ceremony. She says the program will focus on medical care as well as community听outreach.
The program has already held health-screening events in churches and is planning听more.
The hospital launched its Korean medical program in 2008 and its Chinese medical program earlier this year.
Other than offering ethnic food selections on its menu, the hospital also includes ethnic cable channels and local ethnic听newspapers.
