Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey launched its Filipino medical outreach program.

TEANECK, New Jersey— A northern hopes a new program will expand its outreach to the FilipinoÌýcommunity.

The Record newspaper reports ( ) in Teaneck marked the launch of its Filipino medical program with a ceremonyÌýWednesday, December 2.

, the medical center’s vice president for Asian health services, introduced some of the 20 physicians of Philippine ancestry on staff during the ceremony. She says the program will focus on medical care as well as communityÌýoutreach.

The program has already held health-screening events in churches and is planningÌýmore.

The hospital launched its Korean medical program in 2008 and its Chinese medical program earlier this year.

Other than offering ethnic food selections on its menu, the hospital also includes ethnic cable channels and local ethnicÌýnewspapers.
