New Jersey hospital launches Filipino medical outreach
Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey launched its Filipino medical outreach program.
TEANECK, New Jersey— A northern hopes a new program will expand its outreach to the Filipino community.
The Record newspaper reports ( ) in Teaneck marked the launch of its Filipino medical program with a ceremony Wednesday, December 2.
, the medical center’s vice president for Asian health services, introduced some of the 20 physicians of Philippine ancestry on staff during the ceremony. She says the program will focus on medical care as well as community outreach.
The program has already held health-screening events in churches and is planning more.
The hospital launched its Korean medical program in 2008 and its Chinese medical program earlier this year.
