The authorities should advise the public to expect disruptions in flight schedules when world leaders begin arriving for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in November, Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto said on Saturday.

Changes in flight schedules when 21 world leaders arrive for the summit are likely, Recto said, adding that when Pope Francis visited the country in January, the air space above the Ninoy Aquino International Airport was off limits for almost half a day.

“What government can do immediately is advise the public about flight disruptions on Nov. 18 and 19,” he said.
