鈥淭his is the power of prayer at work,鈥澛燰ice President聽 Jejomar Binay said on Wednesday after聽Filipina Mary Jane聽Veloso got a temporary reprieve from Indonesian聽government聽minutes聽 after聽her scheduled execution.

鈥淗uwag po natin itigil ang pagdarasal para kay Mary Jane. Dagdagan pa po natin ang ating panalangin na maisalba natin siya sa kamatayan,鈥� Binay, who is also presidential adviser on OFW (overseas Filipino workers) affairs, said in a statement.
(Let us not stop from praying for Mary Jane. We should pray harder so that she may be completely spared from death.)
Veloso, who was sentenced to death聽for drug trafficking,聽 was spared after聽 a woman who allegedly recruited her to act as a drug courier surrendered to police Tuesday.

鈥淎s we continue with our efforts to save Mary Jane, I once again appeal to our kababayans to be mindful of their belongings and refrain from carrying luggage other than their own when traveling in another country,鈥� the Vice President said.
鈥淏uhay po ang nakataya rito at kailanman ay hindi matutumbasan ng kahit anong halaga ang inyong buhay. Sana ay huwag po kayong magpabiktima sa mga sindikato o magtiwala sa mga pakiusap na magdala ng bagaheng hindi sa inyo,鈥� he said.

Binay then聽called聽on those聽 seeking聽 jobs abroad to go through the legal processes.
