Naia places 4th in 2014 worst airport list
MANILA, Philippines—After three consecutive years of being at the top of the “World’s Worst Airport” list, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia), particularly its Terminal 1, seemingly improved as it placed fourth on the list’s 2014 edition.
Naia also ranked third worst airport in Asia.

In an article released by “The Guide to Sleeping in Airports” Wednesday, it said that the improved ranking of Naia could be credited to the increased positive reviews of users on Naia.
The airport guide noted the various moves, which have been implemented to improve and decongest Terminal 1: opening of newly refurbished rooms, integration of terminal tax in international ticket fares, and moving of several international flights to Terminal 3.
The Guide to Sleeping in Airports recalled that Terminal 1 became “Asia’s largest public sauna” when its air conditioning units bogged down last April.
The airport guide cautioned that if travelers are going to Manila, they should use Terminal 3 rather than Terminal 1.

Singapore’s Changi Airport has been hailed as the best airport in the world and Asia by the said airport guide for the 18th year in the row.
