Emerging Fil-Am artist featured in benefit for Hudson Valley artists
Artist Katte Geneta
GARRISON, New York — Filipino-American artist Katte Geneta of New York City will be one of the artists featured in the Riverside Art Silent Auction benefiting Hudson Valley artists and the Garrison Art Center at 23 Garrison’s Landing, Garrison, New York until May 18.
Three of Geneta’s pieces will also be in the 50/50 Exhibition celebrating Garrison Art Center’s 50th Anniversary from May 23 through June 22, 2014.
Katte Geneta, 30, is an emerging Filipino-American artist from Queens, NY, currently residing in Inwood, NYC. She combines traditional techniques with a minimalist sensibility. Her work is characterized by limited palettes and forms that evoke quietude and stillness.

Featured in Riverside Art Silent Auction
Katte works at the American Academy of Arts and Letters where she is manager of publications and has worked as a freelance graphic designer and editor since 2006. She now serves as an ambassador for the Malini Foundation, a charity for orphaned girls in Sri Lanka, and volunteers her time as visual communications director.
Katte’s work has been shown nationally including at NURTUREart Gallery (New York City), Edward Hopper House (Nyack, New York), Push Pin Gallery (New York City), Greenpoint Gallery (Brooklyn) and Garrison Art Center (Garrison, New York).
