NAIA closed for an hour during Obama’s state visit–CAAP

MANILA, Philippines – All terminals in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will be closed for an hour on Monday and Tuesday due to the state visit of US President Barack Obama, Inquirer Radio 990AM said in a report Monday.

The report quoted Captain John Andrews, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippies deputy director, as saying the terminals will be closed for Obama’s visit from 12:30 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, NAIA also imposed a no-fly zone over NAIA and the Malacañang complex, according to a Philippine Information Agency report.

The CAAP also warned of flight delays of up to two hours for flights to Manila with arrival of 12 noon or later.
